About us
Evvy's Coffeehouse is a small coffee shop & cafe in La Porte, IN. We are seeking a full time Lead Barista - 32+ hours/week. All hours are morning/day shift (we close in the afternoons).

While all of our team members are cross trained in all duties, including food prep, espresso bar, cleaning, and cash handling, the Lead Barista is laser focused on ensuring that all team members are following recipes, staying consistent, working efficiently, and serving each guest with warmth and hospitality.

They will grow into some leadership responsibilities and additional duties as assigned by the owner. Pay for Lead Baristas starts at $12/hour, plus tips (credit card & cash). Average hourly rate including tips fluctuates between 14 and 17 dollars per hour.

During training, or on a shift where you are not designated as the "lead", you would be paid $10/hour plus tips (averaging $12 - $15/hour).

Restaurant/cafe/coffee shop experience is ideal. We are focused on finding team members who exude hospitality, warmth, kindness, and acceptance. Spatial awareness, fast pace, organization skills, and a focus on cleanliness are imperative. We don't take short cuts. We work hard and are a tight knit team, and need to find the right fit.
