Job Listing: Research & Development (R&D) A&E Specialist at Cirrus Aircraft
Job Summary:
An R&D A&E specialist at Cirrus Aircraft is in charge of installing, operating, troubleshooting, repairing, and modifying the aircraft's avionics and electrical systems. The role involves following planning documents, process specifications, and engineering drawings. Specialists must conduct software loads, use test equipment, and employ aircraft system diagnostics to ensure proper functioning of aircraft displays, instruments, communication, navigation, and autopilot systems. The ideal candidate should possess the ability to independently resolve complex system malfunctions and have a deep understanding of aircraft manuals, drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics. The position entails repairing or replacing avionics components, wiring, and connectors with keen attention to detail.
Technicians are expected to utilize hand tools and common powered shop tools. Strong problem-solving and communication skills are crucial as technicians play a vital role in new product development. Collaborative skills are essential as team members will work with other departments within the organization. Specialists will also be involved in constructing and repairing circuitry.
