    Description


    Assist in developing and meeting farm goals and daily tasks by working with other crew members under the direction of the farm manager.

    RequirementsMinimum high school education with 6 months production experience or lead tech experience preferredMust have excellent breeding skillsMust have good organizational skillsMust be a good communicator and team playerAbility to do hard physical laborAbility to follow instructions

    Responsibilities:

    Communicate and promote Prestage Farms core values, mission and goals to members of the farrowing teamResponsible for proper animal condition and healthAssure that feed, water, vaccination, and general animal husbandry is done properlyWorking with farm manager to assure the farm is operating at maximum capacity by maintaining efficient animal flows and by achieving farrowing targetsMake sure SOP's are trained, understood and followed.

    Set and meet farm goals and daily tasks by working with and supervising crewmembersAssure farm biosecurity is maintainedAccurate records must be maintained, and all data entered in a timely mannerWorking with the Farm Manager to be responsible for all Farrowing Team personnel issues including but not limited to, hiring, termination, worker safety, performance evaluation, and staffing levelsResponsible for maintenance and cleanliness of facilities
