Essential Duties

  • Coordinate a variety of projects within the CXFEL team.
  • Help with purchasing, record keeping, audit preparation, account reconciliations and other financial tasks, like monitoring and tracking expenditures.
  • Perform data entry, report preparation, budgeting, and other related functions.
  • Maintain financial files consistent with university policies and practices.
  • Participate in a variety of departmental, unit, and universitywide initiatives and meetings to represent financial interest and ensure integration/collaborative support of unit and university wide interests.
  • Assist with events, scheduling, and special visitors.
  • Perform tasks related to specific activity assigned, such as tracking event attendance, development of brochures or other unique projects.
  • Assist with department travel.
  • Help plan and facilitate workshops, meetings, or conferences with high impact on program and participants.
  • Coordinate logistics, scheduling, and participant communications.
  • Schedule facility and services for use by campus and outside organizations, as needed.
  • Approve department time, as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to ensure continual efficient operations of department to meet customer service needs.

Minimum Qualifications


Bachelor's degree in a field appropriate to the area of assignment AND three (3) years of related experience; OR, Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of issues pertaining to area of assignment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of budgeting and accounting principles.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of basic project management.
  • Experience in budget preparation and forecasting.
  • Experience in coordinating and prioritizing work.
  • Experience in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.
  • Evidence of effective communication skills.
  • Evidence of effective communication to perform essential functions.
  • Experience in Microsoft programs like Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Outlook calendar scheduling experience.
  • Experience with ASU software such as Workday, Amazon Workspace/Forecasting Tool, Concur, preferred.

  • Constantly detects and operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
  • Ability to clearly communicate and exchange accurate information to perform essential duties.
  • Expected to be responsive to customers, engaged in work production, resourceful, flexible, and respectful of others.
