Shelter Operations Team Member - Part-Time (16 hours)
- Lazarus House is an emergency shelter for those experiencing homelessness and is located downtown Saint Charles, IL. We are a 24/7 program that serves people in need of a safe place to stay. We provide shelter, meals, showers, laundry, case management, as well as educational and employment classes to all who enter our doors._
We are in need of a person to join the Operations Team for these hours:_

Mondays, 2:00-6:00pm_

Thursdays, 6:30pm-10:30pm_
-
Sundays, 2:30-10:30pm_

Eligible for PTO benefits based on 16 hours per week._
General responsibilities are:
- Ensure safety and support of our guests & volunteers, showing empathy & compassion.
- Assist guests in acclimating to and following house guidelines.
- Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries with guests.
- Help maintain the daily routine of the shelter including meal prep, answering phones, etc.
- Maintain a clean environment.
- Foster rapport with donors & volunteers.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time, squat, kneel, climb and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Positivity a must
- Social service background a plus
Job Type:

Pay:
From $15.25 per hour
Expected hours: 16 per week
