Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

Threat Analysis and Monitoring:
Investigate and analyze cyber threats using tools such as Nessus, Tanium, Digital Guardian, Splunk, and Axonius. Monitor systems within the GSS, ADB, SAW, CCM, and CAM FISMA frameworks for vulnerabilities.

Reporting and Methodology Development:

Develop innovative methods for presenting aggregated security findings using tools such as PowerPoint, Excel, Power BI, and custom dashboards.


Vulnerability Remediation:
Design and implement scripts and automations to address vulnerabilities. Perform manual remediations on affected systems as needed.

Policy Recommendation and Documentation:
Review and recommend changes to workflows and policies. Prepare documentation in official formats for governmental review and approval.

Security Presentations:

Author and present detailed reports on findings and remediation strategies to a diverse range of stakeholders, including government leadership and external partners.


Proactive Security Enhancements:
Research and propose enhancements to existing security technologies and policies. Develop strategies to detect, block, and deny access to compromised products and versions.

Collaboration with Security Management:

Work closely with Information System Security Officers and Managers to update and maintain IT security plans based on assessments and re-accreditations.


Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in a cybersecurity analysis role.

Proficient in using cybersecurity analysis tools (Nessus, Tanium, Splunk, etc.).

Strong understanding of IT security protocols and government IT security policies.

Excellent communication skills, capable of effectively presenting and explaining complex information.


Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with federal agencies, particularly in environments governed by FISMA.

Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH.

Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective security policies and procedures.
