COVID-19 Impacts to Working at DOR

  • DOR is closely monitoring the status of COVID19 and ensuring our staff are supported in a safe work environment. While working onsite at any DOR facility, employees must follow current COVID19 health orders issued by the California Department of Public Health or local health jurisdiction. DOR offers a hybrid work environment including inoffice and remote work options for various positions.
  • Under the supervision of the Chief, VRPRD, the Staff Services Manager II, Chief, Program Policy Section (PPS), will lead a high performing section responsible for the development and implementation of program policies, regulations, legislation, and statutes to improve opportunities for Californians with disabilities to achieve employment, independence, and equality through DOR programs and services.
  • The PPS Chief identifies, analyzes, innovates, develops, and implements policy governing the state vocational rehabilitation (VR) program, information technology business requirements; collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the quality, compliance, and effectiveness of program service delivery; develops and monitors processes to improve the Department's ability to meet and exceed the required federal and state performance measures. The PPS Chief will complete the most complex and sensitive work of the section and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
