Description

Job Summary:

Kaiser Permanente (KP) nurses excel in nursing through clinical and service excellence, professionalism, and leadership. The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) offers support during facility encounters, manages patient traffic flow, and provides follow-up care as directed by providers. Additionally, they assist with patient education and document clinical information in the medical record.

Essential Responsibilities:

Prepares patients for exams by reviewing history, collecting current information, and vital signs.
Addresses POE Care Gaps and schedules appointments as needed.
Verifies and updates medications, including pending refill orders.
Reviews and updates allergies, smoking, and tobacco history.
Provides ordered interventions and documents patient response.
Prepares rooms and equipment for procedures, assisting physicians as necessary.
Assists in monitoring patient and physician electronic messages as delegated.
Educates patients and provides preparation materials for diagnostic studies.
Schedules appointments for various medical procedures and follow-ups.
Delivers health education to patients and family members.
Resolves patient concerns promptly and participates in emergency care when needed.
Maintains department Quality Improvement standards.

Basic Qualifications:

Experience: N/A

Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing (LPN/LVN) program.

License, Certification, Registration: Practical Nurse License (Georgia) and Basic Life Support certification required.

Additional Requirements:

Successful completion of a Customer Service Assessment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preference for candidates with healthcare experience and demonstrated customer service aptitude.
