- Monitors and maintains coin-operated machine permits; enforces coin-operated license and permit requirements; maintains related inventory reports.
- Performs field inspections of business sites.
- Determines license and permit fees.
- Mails licenses and permits to business officers.
- Maintains accurate up-to-date records of business owners.
- Provides information to the public as requested; assists taxpayers with motor vehicle inquiries.
- Processes motor vehicle renewals, permits and transfers.
- Resolves complex motor vehicle issues.
- Sends letters to registered motor vehicle owners who may have an interest in the vehicle.
- Maintains files and records.
- Processes passport applications.
- Assists in receiving payments, processing transmittals, preparing packages to be mailed, closing cashboxes and running reports.
- Performs any other duties as assigned.
- Must have a high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
- Must have at least one ( 1 ) year of related work experience.
- Knowledge of the occupational tax code.
- Knowledge of the transportation code.
- Knowledge of computers and job-related software programs.
- Knowledge of customer service principles and practices.
- Skill in planning, organizing, directing and coordinating the work of personnel.
- Skill in the analysis of problems and the development and implementation of solutions.
- Skill in the preparation of clear and precise reports.
- Skill in oral and written communication.
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing in the English language and orally in the Spanish language.
