    Job Description

    This role supervises the outreach strategy for our 24 schools in New York City and org-wide Leadership, which includes instructional and operations roles. They are responsible for training, developing, and managing two Talent Recruiters. They will support strengthening our local and national partnerships by creating and managing the implementation of current and new recruitment initiatives as well as providing support at career fairs, facilitating professional development sessions, and providing coverage as requested.

    They will support all regions with the Summer Teaching Fellowship recruitment strategies and manage our Campus Ambassador Program Additionally, they will serve on the Recruitment and Outreach Leadership Teams to support the Sr. Director of Talent Recruitment and Director of Outreach in establishing the org-wide strategy, vision, and goals for all 5 regions.

    • Oversees talent attraction for instructional, operations, and staff in Brooklyn including serving as Recruitment subject matter expert and stewarding the talent recruitment strategy
    • Cultivating a positive team culture and collaborating with ET Leaders to develop targeted professional development for Talent Recruiters
    • Leads Summer Teaching Fellowship selection and outreach as well as the Campus Ambassador Program recruitment vision and strategies across all 5 regions, which includes management of 6 regional recruiters who support and coach 35 on-campus CAs and Uncommon alumni
    • Develop, build, and strengthen new and existing national and regional relationships to attract quality teachers, operations, and Leadership staffing
    • Coordinating the Marketing and talent vendor relationships (LinkedIn, Indeed, Handshake, Textio, SeekOut, Symplicity, etc.)
    • Assess data to adjust team-wide outreach strategies, support recommendations, and drive outreach decisions
    Qualifications

    Experience Requirement

    • 7+ years of professional experience
    • 3+ years of Recruitment experience
    • 2+ years in a leadership role
    • 2+ years of people management
    • Familiarity with Recruitment tools and platforms (Handshake, Symplicity, LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, TFA Connect)

    Education Requirement

    • Bachelor's degree required

    Travel Requirements

    • 30% National Travel
    • 40% Regional Travel (NYC metro area)
    • 30% Local Travel

    Work Location & Schedule

    • Reports to Home Office in Downtown Manhattan 3 days per week
    • Working hours are 8am - 6pm
    • Expected to host and attend events outside of standard business hours (i.e., after 5 pm and some weekend obligations)

    Compensation for this position: Candidates who meet all job description requirements will likely receive an offer of $95,200-$100,800. The starting compensation for this role is between $95,200-$112,000. The starting pay will depend on various factors including but not limited to relevant professional experience, education, certifications, and tenure with Uncommon Schools. To receive an offer at the top of the range, candidates will need significant experience beyond the job description requirements. Because we value staff tenure in a role, we do not currently cap salary ranges for current staff members.
