Barista**
JOB SUMMARY**The Barista is responsible for making beverages and socializing with guests as they purchase their favorite items, while keeping the process running smoothly, at the brand-new AC Hotel, on Broadway, in beautiful Uptown Columbus.

You are a team player that is energetic, friendly, professional with a knack for customer service and satisfaction.

Guests will count on you to guide them in selecting the choice of beverage based on your recommendations and knowledge of the products.

The Barista will set the pace for the day for all guests by delivering the best experience as they set out to conquer their day.

If you are friendly, fun, energetic and have a will to succeed and serve, this is the job for you


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Consistently offer professional, friendly, and attentive service to guests; interact with guests and answer questions that guests may have pertaining to their experience; become familiar with our hotel, services offered, hours of operation, nearby places of interest, etc.
  • Prepare food, grind coffee, brew tea and coffee and specialty drinks
  • Learn new methods of brewing, beverage blends, presentation techniques, etc.
  • Maintain cleanliness of work area throughout the shift that meet the county health codes and the hotel quality assurance requirements
  • Monitor and continually replenish supplies as needed
  • Operate cash register and point of sale system
  • Assist with Guest Services at the front desk
  • Perform other tasks as necessary or required to meet or exceed guest satisfaction

PROFESS
IONAL EXPERIENCE

  • Highschool graduate or equivalent and a minimum of six months workrelated experience (preferred)
  • Excellent customer service skills

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Must be flexible to work varied schedules
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to listen attentively
  • Must have the physical ability to walk, bend, and stand for long time periods
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

  • Ability to express compassion while remaining composed; ability to remain calm and focused while working under pressure
  • Promote the property by demonstrating a "topnotch" attitude toward our guests which includes anticipating the guests needs be proactive
  • Ensure that you are always a positive representation of the property; embrace and respect diversity and multicultural environments
