We are currently seeking a/an

Plant Mechanic (m/f/d) for Gas, Water, Wastewater, Sanitation, Heating, and Steam

to join our department Z4 "Construction & Operation" at the earliest possible date at the Paul-Ehrlich-Institute in Lewiston. We are a federal scientific institution responsible for the testing and approval of vaccines and biomedical drugs, as well as conducting research in the field of life sciences. Our network with national and international stakeholders makes us a competent contact for the public, science, medicine, politics, and economy.

The property includes 11 buildings with laboratories and animal facilities up to safety and protection level S3, as well as offices and technical areas, covering approximately m2. The department "Construction, Operation" with approximately 35 employees is responsible for the operation of highly complex building technology, which is partly provided 365 days/24 hours. The department Z/4.3 (GWA/Laboratory Technology) is responsible for ensuring the function of supply systems such as heating, special gases, steam, water treatment, wastewater treatment, as well as for the operation and maintenance of machinery in laboratory technology and central sterilization.
