    ***The working location for this position will be at Heritage Place on 36th and Cuming Haven of Hope on 33rd and Fontenelle Blvd.***

    ~The Starting salary is $65,000~

    Mental Health Respite Mission: Through professionalism, nurturance, and empowerment MHR will provide supportive services with the purpose of leading participants in personal growth and improving life skills for transitioning to the least restrictive level of care within the community environment.

    Summary/Primary Purpose: Provide administrative oversight, supervision and leadership to Mental Health Respite Programs.Mental Health Respite provides a safe, protected, supervised residential environment on a short-term basis. The intent of the service is to support consumers by providing linkages to needed behavioral health services and assist in transition back into the community.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Provide oversight in administrative and programmatic issues. Assist assigned staff with clients in crisis or in need of professional guidance.
    • Ensure staff compliance with agency policies and procedures.
    • Provide supervision to program managers, supervisors, coordinators and nurses as well as, ensure adequate supervision of case managers and program staff. Ensure supervision is documented.
    • Ensure client files are maintained according to agency policy and external review standards.
    • Ensure staff coverage of all program needs. Coordinate hiring and firing of staff with supervisors and human resources. Plan, implement and supervise staff orientation, development, and in-service training in coordination with building training including ongoing learning and use of skills in trauma informed care, co-occurring care, and person-centered care.
    • Maintain a thorough understanding of guidelines for programs ensuring, Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services (NDHHS), Council on Accreditation (COA) and Region 6 Behavioral Health Care compliance.
    • Develop and maintain written policies and procedures for programs implementing accreditation, funding source, and agency requirements.
    • Complete Quality Assurance reports including documentation of review of case files as per the policy and procedure.
    • Prepare program for all site visits or reviews by accreditation and funders (Region 6, NDHHS, COA).
    • Complete all required data, outcomes and other reports to funding sources in a timely manner.
    • Report significant incidents to supervisory staff.
    • Ensure compliance with the grievance process including review of client terminations and appeals.
    • Maintain knowledge of and participation in appropriate community meetings. Network and market programs with appropriate community providers.
    • Work with the Department Director on the development of annual budgets, monitor income, monitor and authorize appropriate expenditures and complete billing requirements.
    • Driving is an essential role of this position.
    • Provide on call coverage for MHR programs.
    • All other duties as assigned.
    Supervisory Responsibilities:Supervises program manager, supervisors, coordinator and nurses.

    Additional Information

    Education and/or Experience:Master's degree in Social Services field: Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, or equivalent with at least five years supervisory and behavioral health experience. Licensure (PLMHP, LMHP, LCSW) is preferred.

    Qualifications:The requirements listed below are representative of the minimal knowledge, skill, and/or ability required for this position.
    • Ability to be flexible and able to work on multiple projects or tasks simultaneously
    • Intermediate skills in Microsoft software to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access. Aswell as the ability to access payroll, timekeeping and personal data via a web-based system.
    • Administrative skills to include utilization of standard office equipment, data entry, 10-key,attention to details and filing.
    • Good communication skills both written and spoken, and ability to maintain effective workingrelationships.
    • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential matters.
    • Demonstrate sensitivity to the service population's cultural and socioeconomic characteristics.
    Other Qualifications: Must pass all applicable background checks. Must possess a valid driver's license from the state in which you reside. Must be approved through The Salvation Army Fleet Safety Program to drive either a Salvation Army or personal vehicle on Salvation Army business. Must successfully complete Safe from Harm training within 90 days of hire, as established by The Salvation Army.

    Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:PLMHP, LMHP, LCSW required. Obtain medication aid, CPR/First aid, and CPI certification within the first 90 days of employment.

    Working Conditions: The work environment is a business office setting with office equipment, light traffic and moderate noise levels.
