Description
Radio Broadcasting Instructor _- Specialist Counselor_

Timber Lake Camp takes the job of coaching and caring for children seriously.

We are looking for top-quality summer camp counselors and _specialty staff_ who will take this job as seriously as we do.

We are committed to being the best.

To do that, The TLC Family of Camps needs to attract the very best summer camp staff and that is why we pay the highest salaries in the camp profession.

Working at one of our camps offers the opportunity to make lifelong friends from across the nation and throughout the world.

Last summer, The TLC Family of Camps warmly welcomed camp counselors from all across the United States, Canada, Great Britain, Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa giving a truly international flavor to our camps.

As our Radio Broadcasting Instructor, you will still receive the traditional summer camp counselor experience of living in a bunk with 2-3 counselors and 8-10 campers, along with eating meals together and taking part in camp-wide activities.

During the five periods of every day, however, you will have your own personal workstation, where campers - on their elective period - will visit you to learn about photography.

We will provide all the equipment you'll need, but you're more than welcome to bring your own.

Being a _great_ radio broadcasting instructor is all about being engaging and creative.

You'll have a different group every hour and it's up to you to have a variety of ideas that will inspire and engage the campers who visit you during their elective period.

Your lessons can span longer than the one-hour time slot (ex. A recurring podcast, or radio segment).

As with any role at camp, having a desire to work with kids is a _must_. Experience is a plus, but not a necessity.

If you haven't worked at a summer camp before, please be aware of the commitment you're signing up for. It's an incredible, unforgettable experience, but it is far from a typical 9-5 job.
