Job Summary:


This position will manage the planning and sourcing of procurement activities for materials and services in the most effective manner, while providing strategic value to the lines of business that it supports.


Responsibilities:


  • Create multiyear strategic commodity plan based on profiling of category spend history and forecasts, performing marketplace review and analysis, identification of client needs, evaluation of resource availability and prioritization of sourcing opportunities.
  • Formulate sourcing strategies using innovative procurement tools and methodologies to maximize leverage opportunities and savings to the Company.
  • Manage the execution of the operational and strategic commodity plan culminating in optimal contractual relationships covering major components of the commodity group managed.
  • Develop supplier management programs and manage the implementation to drive continuous improvement in major supplier contracts.
  • Interface with business strategists across all business units to develop client needs and establish sourcing strategies that are in alignment with business plans and goals.

Job Specific Qualifications:


Required:

  • Bachelors degree and at least 8 years of Strategic Sourcing, Category Management or Contract Management experience.

Desired:

  • Demonstrated team management abilities: experience with hiring assessing and developing a team of employees.
  • Advanced degree (e.g., MBA, MS, JD)
  • Professional Certifications (e.g., CPSM, CPSD, PMP)
  • Continuous Improvement (e.g., Lean Six Sigma)
