HTRI seeks an individual to provide computer and communications systems service and technical support to meet the needs of the staff and the corporation.

This staff person is expected to work from our headquarters in Navasota, Texas.


Principal Responsibilities

  • Provide information and training on corporate information systems to staff
  • Research products/equipment for budget planning/purchasing
  • Maintain and clean computer equipment, including fixed preventive maintenance activities
  • Troubleshoot Desktop and Network issues
  • Perform backup and conversion operations; maintain appropriate electronic and hard copy files
  • Provide enduser support for copiers; train staff in operating copiers and using complex functions
  • Assist with maintaining and updating hardware inventory
  • Assist with annual audit of software licenses
  • Upon request, assist Director in maintaining HTRI inhouse systems

Qualifications

  • AA, AS, or two years of collegelevel credit in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Technology Management
OR
Three years of experience providing technical support in a commercial organization with a networked computer environment and at least 35 end-users or equivalent

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server and Windows OS
  • Preferred but not essential_
  • BS in Computer Information Systems or Technology Management and one year of experience providing technical support in a commercial organization with a networked computer environment and at least 50 endusers
  • Knowledge of Windows Server, Windows OS, Microsoft Office 365, and Linux
  • Industry certifications
