Position Overview:

Emergency Room Technician or Ortho Technician


The primary role of the Emergency Room Technician is to perform various patient care activities to assist the Emergency Department Nursing personnel and physicians and to care for the personal needs of the patients.

The Emergency Department Technician performs non-clinical activities and other unit tasks as delegated by the Staff RN to support the interdisciplinary care team.


EDUCATION
HS Diploma or equivalent education/experience_ Required_


LICENSURES AND CERTIFICATIONS
Basic Life Support Certification - BLS _Required_


EXPERIENCE
Acute care hospital experience as an Emergency Room Technician or similar experience._ Preferred_


SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
In depth knowledge of medical terminology.

Ability to work with all levels of nursing personnel and physicians and assist them in a resource capacity

Effective English written and verbal communication skills.
