    For more information, visit Job Summary The role of a CNC Machinist is to utilize mid-level machining techniques and processes to produce accurate and quality parts.

    This position has attained full proficiency as an entry-level CNC Machinist and can successfully apply CNC principles, procedures, and setups to execute machining strategies.

    Enthusiasm to further develop machining skills and the ability to demonstrate problem solving skills is crucial for success in this position.

    Essential Functions Perform intermediate to complex machining and programming activities in line with company capabilitiesProvide advice or solutions in technical areas for less experienced machinistsModify existing programs to enhance efficiencySetup High end jobs on 3 axis, 5 axis and/or lathesIdentify opportunities for process improvementResponsible for checking parts to print and models using various inspection techniquesDesign basic fixtures for machining partsWear proper PPE for job function being performed Assist with cleaning and preventative maintenance of machines, tools, and workstationsPerform other duties as assignedTechnical CompetenciesMastered all Machinist I knowledge, skills, and abilitiesModerate knowledge of WinMax and/or Mastercam programming softwareModerate understanding of G-codeModerate knowledge of Solid works modeling softwareModerate knowledge of 3 axis, 5 axis and or lathe machiningModerate knowledge of complex fixturing techniquesModerate knowledge of high tolerance machining and geometric dimensioningModerate knowledge of shop mechanics, mathematics and measurementExperienced working with multiple types of materialsBehavioral CompetenciesDemonstrates motivation and accountability to achieve individual and department goalsDemonstrates effective written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with team membersAbility to organize, prioritize and manage multiple high complexity projects in a cross-functional environmentDemonstrates initiative and personal accountability to meet work demands and work effectively under pressure with limited supervisionGrasps concepts, anticipates possible problems and generates solutions with moderate problem-solving skills Exercises sound judgement in ambiguous situations when time is criticalWillingness to offer knowledge and insight to develop colleaguesAbility to respond and adapt quickly to changing circumstances and facility needsPossesses a strong attention to detail and commitment to effectively produce high quality workDemonstrates teamwork by sharing knowledge and helping where neededEducation and Experience: Degree in Machine Tool, Manufacturing Technology or related field preferredA minimum of 3 years CNC programming and or machining experience requiredHigh School diploma or GED required Work Hours/Travel:1st
