Family Health Centers at NYU Langone, a designated Level 3 Medical Home, is the largest federally qualified health center network in New York State, and the second largest in the nation.

It includes eight primary care sites, 40 school-based health centers and dental clinics, four day care centers, the nation's largest dental residency program, and New York State's largest behavioral health program.

Position Summary:

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Supervisor, Social Work.


Responsibilities:


  • Will complete MDonly treatment plans on ECW.
  • Performs thorough initial and ongoing assessments.
  • Performs thorough treatment and crisis intervention.
  • Involves family and/or significant others collaterally when indicated.
  • Makes referrals and requests for consultation when necessary.
  • Reports child abuse/neglect when indicated.
  • Maintains designated level of daily patients seen.
  • Attends and/or leads required meetings and is responsible for followup of directives given at meetings (provides coverage as needed).
  • Provides information and referrals to assist clients, re: resources and support systems.
  • Submits and monitors charts for utilization review in accordance with clinic policies.
  • Completes all documentation in compliance with clinic, hospital and regulatory agency Standards.
  • Adheres to managed care requirements and complies with mandates in a timely fashion.
  • Reviews, cosigns and provides feedback on documentation for unlicensed staff.
  • Involves client(s) as partner in care in treatment planning process.
  • Operationalizes goals and objectives.
  • Updates treatment plans to reflect the course of treatment regularly.
  • Demonstrates cultural competence.
  • Performs accurate risk assessments in times of crisis.
  • Contacts appropriate level of care support systems.
  • Utilizes supervisory consultation structure appropriately.
  • Meets routinely and makes self available to supervisees.
  • Provides inservice training for staff and initiates leadership.
  • Provides supervisory consultation for clinicians.
  • Reviews medical records as required according to clinic policies.
  • Reports status of supervisees and related issues to the Director and Vice-President.
  • Takes initiative in committee meetings and follows through in a timely manner.
  • Follows up with clinical care on a continuous and timely basis.
  • Attends professional conferences and trainings to enhance clinical and/or managerial skills.
  • Demonstrates positive organizational skills.
  • Demonstrates creative and critical thinking, re: problemsolving processes.
  • Shows ability to multitask.
  • Meets regularly with designated treatment team and follows up on issues.
  • Provides supervisory coverage as needed when called upon.
  • Oversees supervisees quality and quantity of work and intervenes appropriately.
  • Participates in organizational meetings.
  • Provides support and training for social work student interns.

Minimum Qualifications:


To qualify you must have a This position demands a high degree of competence and knowledge in the practice of psychotherapy with school-age children/ adolescents adults and families, as well as experience in supervising social workers and/or psychologists, requires an MSW in social work and an LCSW..

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements.

The salary range for the role is $66, $102,236.88 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need.

The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
