Job Title:
Autism Spectrum Disorder

  • Community Support Specialist

Reports to:
Senior Clinical Program Manager


Purpose:

As an Autism Spectrum Disorder Community Support Specialist, you will provide a range of services to individuals with ASD and their families, including job coaching, life skills coaching, community mentoring, and respite care.

Your role is critical in helping individuals with ASD achieve their goals and become more self-sufficient.

Maintaining accurate and updated documentation is essential to evaluate and motivate the continuous improvement of the services provided to individuals with ASD.


Responsibilities:


  • Provide individualized job coaching services to individuals with ASD to promote employment success and independence.
  • Provide life skills coaching and training for individuals with ASD to improve their ability to live independently and participate in community activities.
  • Assist individuals with ASD in navigating community resources and connecting with community mentor programs to promote community integration and socialization.
  • Provide inhome respite care services for individuals with ASD who require additional support.
  • Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other professionals to create and implement individualized support plans.
  • Monitor and document progress toward goals and objectives outlined in each individual's support plan.
  • Continuously assess individual needs and adjust the support plan as necessary.
  • Provide ongoing education and support to families and caregivers regarding ASD and related resources and services.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, or related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience working with individuals with ASD and their families.
  • Knowledge of evidencebased interventions used to support individuals with ASD.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.

Shifts:


  • Flexible availability
  • Weekends and Nights (may be required)
  • Different shifts available

Salary:
$17/hourly
