Job Description

We are seeking a full-time associate-level attorney to join a General Litigation Group for a DC mid-size firm

Key Responsibilities

• Draft pleadings and discovery motions; appear in court and argue motions

• Draft and respond to written discovery

• Prepare for and defend clients and expert witnesses at deposition

• Prepare for and take fact and expert witness depositions of adverse parties

• Draft dispositive motions and present oral argument where appropriate

• Trial preparation

• Attend trial as second-chair or lead counsel where appropriate

• Prepare legal memoranda, status reports and budgets for clients Education and

Qualification Requirements

• JD from accredited law school

• Admission to VA Bar required

• Admission to MD and DC bars (or waiver eligibility) preferred

• 3+ years civil litigation experience Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Strong analytical skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to prioritize and multi-task a diverse caseload and meet deadlines

• Self-starter who takes ownership of executing tasks
