Position Summary:
Benefits Consulting Manager

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented individual to join our team as a Benefits Consulting Manager.

This position will have responsibility to supervise 5-8 benefits consultants and requires a highly skilled benefits consulting professional who has a proven ability to coach, lead, and foster a positive environment to ensure the success of your team and, as a result, create an exceptional experience for our clients.


  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for success in this role. You must be adept at articulating ideas clearly and promptly responding to client inquiries and concerns.
  • This role demands a meticulous attention to detail, understanding of federal, state, and local compliance and the ability to manage multiple clients, tasks, and projects concurrently. You should be selfmotivated, organized, and capable of delivering highquality results within specified timelines.
  • Enthusiasm for driving positive change and delivering exceptional customer experiences is crucial. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about benefits and possess a proactive mindset in addressing challenges and seeking innovative solutions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Direct and lead consultants to ensure extremely successful client partnerships
  • Collaborate with executive leadership team
  • Manage direct reports and support professional development
  • Listen openly and attentively to fully understand ideas and opinions within the team
  • Formulate clear objectives, strategies, and work assignments
  • Manage and maintain consultants' book of business, staff incoming assignments and utilization

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):

  • Prior experience working for a broker is required
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a benefits consultant or specialist role, preferably in a clientfacing capacity
  • Prior experience managing a team of benefits consultants is required
  • Extensive benefits experience including the administration of various benefit programs such as Group Health, Flexible Spending Accounts, Dental, Vision, Accident and Disability, Life Insurance and Wellness benefits
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Highly organized with a keen attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
