The Facilities Director will directs Facilities Management operations and future planning of IOA facilities.

This position will mitigate risk and oversee physical safety and security, along with providing leadership to the Facilities team, partnering with IOA programs and external stakeholders to manage projects and optimizing employee facility experience.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Directs the facility team. Plans and prioritizes weekly work, inspects the facilities to ensure program requirements and compliance regulations are met.
  • Establishes and implements updates to facility & securityrelated policies and procedures, following safety precautions and standards.
  • Create an operating budget, review and approve expenditures to ensure vendor invoices are accurate and processed in a timely manner.
  • Track key performance indicators relevant to customer service, department process quality and efficiency, financial performance.
  • Develop team goals and objectives, create an environment of supporting professional growth and recognition of team success.
  • Develop and implement plans for new site initiatives and space planning to support future growth.
  • Responsible for identifying facility system gaps, evaluating tools to increase efficiency and overseeing the selection and implementation of department systems and software, ensure adequate training to team members to maximize utilization.
  • Responsible for performance management. Create team goals and objectives, create an environment of supporting professional growth and recognition of team success.
  • Plan and implement plans for new site initiatives and space planning to support future growth.
  • Manage vendor service level agreements approved by Procurement Director
  • Implement preventative maintenance and track useful life of facility assets.
  • Analyze situations and problems accurately, propose solutions and implement effective course of action in accordance with general policy, pertinent codes and regulations.
  • Organize and communicate department workflow, standard operating procedures.
  • Establish and support effective partnerships with those contacted in course of performing assigned responsibilities.
  • Respond to all physical security and safety incidents, emergency and disaster events and assigned IMT role. Partner with the Coronet as needed.
  • Participate in Emergency & Disaster Planning Committee and requirements.
  • Manage special event requests related to facility readiness and staffing requirements.
  • Job responsibilities include but are not limited to those described, and additional duties and projects may be assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university
  • Five years in Facilities Management and at least 5 years of project management experience
  • Excellent customer service skills, analyzing potential risks, proposing solutions, using sound judgement and decisionmaking.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, time management and prioritization, and collaboration across teams.
  • Able to type 65+ wpm.
  • Strong competency skills in use of Microsoft office suiteExcel are a requirement.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience in managing facilityrelated emergencies and response.
  • Must be willing to travel and be oncall 24/
  • Ability to multitask and work both independently as well as part of an interdisciplinary team.
  • Must have a vehicle and valid California driver's license with safe driving record.
  • Must be able to legally work in the US.
  • Successful completion of background check

PHYSICAL & LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Ability to understand complex materials and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to speak and write English clearly and accurately.

COMPENSATION:

  • Range: $ ,199.27/annual
