Description

As a Material Handler, you will play a crucial role in the warehouse operations by handling the movement and storage of materials and products.

Your responsibilities will include receiving shipments, picking and packing orders, and ensuring accurate inventory levels. You will contribute to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment while supporting the timely fulfillment of customer orders.


Key Responsibilities:
Receive incoming shipments of materials, supplies, and products.

Unload trucks using manual labor, forklifts, or other material handling equipment.

Inspect received items for accuracy, damages, and discrepancies.

Organize and store materials in designated locations within the warehouse.

Maintain accurate inventory records using computerized systems or manual logs.

Conduct regular cycle counts and assist with physical inventory counts as needed.

Pick materials and products from inventory based on order requirements.

Ensure accuracy in item selection, quantity, and condition.

Pack materials securely and prepare them for shipment.

Prepare outgoing shipments for delivery to customers or other locations.

Coordinate with shipping carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries.

Generate shipping labels and documentation as required.

Transport materials and products between storage areas using forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks.

Load and unload materials onto and from trucks or other transportation vehicles.

Adhere to all safety protocols, procedures, and guidelines.

Maintain a clean and organized work environment to minimize hazards.


Qualifications and Skills:
High school diploma or equivalent.

Previous experience in warehouse operations or material handling preferred.

Ability to operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Basic math skills for inventory counting and calculations.

Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and perform physical tasks for extended periods.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Effective communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.


Job Types:
Full-time, Contract


Pay:
$ $24.66 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
