Description

Gallagher Evelius & Jones is seeking a Litigation Paralegal to work within our medical malpractice defense group years of experience in a litigation paralegal role is required and Medical Malpractice or Personal Injury experience is strongly preferred.

Typical duties include:

Organize case documents, obtain and review medical records, and prepare summaries.
Assist in deposition preparation, scheduling, and transcript indexing.
Conduct research on expert witnesses, manage subpoenas, and draft pleadings.
Perform legal research, compile findings, and maintain case calendars.
Draft and send assorted pleadings and documents to counsel, courts and clients as needed, such as routine correspondence, deposition notices, briefs, motions, orders, petitions, and discovery.
File and coordinate service of documents.
Manage scheduling order deadlines for multiple cases filed in various jurisdictions, both state and federal and ensure calendar is accurately maintained.
Draft, update and maintain spreadsheets to track status of cases.
Assist in document review, organization, and production.
Assist with depositions, exhibit preparation and reviewing deposition transcripts. General case maintenance (organization of files such as correspondence, pleadings, discovery, etc.).
Review court dockets and electronic filing notifications.
