Locations:
- Mission Road Solar, Isabella County, MI (1 position)
- Fish Creek Solar, Greenville, MI (1 position)
- Little Trout Solar, Rogers City, MI (1 position)
Role Type: 100% Field/Onsite
Per Diem Rates:
- Lodging: Up to $107/day
- Meals: Up to $59/day
As a Construction Supervisor, you will oversee the day-to-day planning and execution of construction projects carried out by both Company and contractor personnel. Your responsibilities include ensuring projects adhere to Company standards, specifications, schedules, and requirements to maximize Return on Investment (ROI). You will supervise construction permitting activities and liaise with Company and contractor staff to optimize support resource allocation. Collaborating with construction planning personnel, you will prioritize and plan projects according to mutually agreed upon schedules. Leading continuous improvement efforts, you'll drive systematic enhancements within your assigned group(s).
Key Accountabilities:
Ensure contractors comply with Company standards and maintain crew operator qualification standards.
- Coordinate construction schedules and activities with relevant departments.
- Keep construction action plans updated and communicated to prioritize workload.
- Resolve escalated construction concerns and determine project solutions.
- Review as-built drawings before contractor payment approval.
- Collaborate with construction planning for technical designs and cost-effective installations.
- Explore and apply new construction materials, practices, and technologies.
- Identify and implement process changes to enhance efficiencies.
- Monitor staff workload and productivity, making adjustments as needed.
- Act as a liaison between union and management, ensuring CBA adherence.
- Guide continuous improvement efforts, establishing quality standards and sharing best practices.
- Utilize process design outcomes to troubleshoot issues.
- Perform core supervisory functions, including planning, organizing, directing, staffing, and reporting.
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:
High school graduation or GED with at least 6 years of relevant Building Trades Journeyman experience.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
Associate's degree or certificate in engineering, construction management, or related discipline.
- Bachelor's degree in construction management.
- Journeyman Certification.
