- Supervise the profitability, expansion, and retention of an assigned clientele portfolio.
- Underwrite and tactfully negotiate client accounts to reduce risk and enhance profitability. As needed, negotiate and secure reinsurance for complex accounts.
- Assist in placing foreign admitted policies, act as a support to field Account Executives regarding global underwriting abilities, and participate in the expansion of such global underwriting services.
- Nurture and sustain relationships with internal colleagues within the business unit and across the organization to formulate sales strategies and pinpoint cross-selling prospects.
- Foster and sustain relationships with external partners by regularly meeting face-to-face with agents and brokers to promote and sell Travelers' products, aiming to attract and maintain accounts that align with our risk tolerance. Ability to travel for such meetings is essential.
- Identify and seize new business prospects through consultative sales and marketing proficiency.
- Devise and implement sales plans for agencies and regions/groups.
- Carry out other assigned responsibilities.

- Three to five years of relevant underwriting experience, including familiarity with National Property.
- Familiarity with property-related products, the regulatory landscape, and the local insurance industry.
- Deep understanding of financial matters.
- Strong analytical skills with a proactive approach to identifying underwriting, marketing, or financial obstacles and making prompt decisions aligned with our risk tolerance.
- Effective communication skills, enabling successful negotiations with agents and brokers.
- CPCU designation.
- Minimum of two years of underwriting experience.

Compensation Overview
The annual salary range specified for this position reflects a national market average and encompasses a wide spectrum of salaries for this role throughout the country. The actual salary offered will be based on various factors, such as the role's scope, complexity, and location; the candidate's skills, education, training, credentials, and experience; along with other employment conditions. In addition to competitive compensation, employees also have the opportunity to receive performance-based cash incentives.
