PRIMARY FUNCTION

The Inventory Specialist is accountable for ensuring the accuracy of inventory for the Platform Aerospace and customer aircraft fleets within relevant databases, including maintenance activities, part revisions, production, inventory management, and customer assets.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Be the go-to expert on Veryon for the company.
  • Develop and oversee processes to monitor equipment failures and report performance metrics.
  • Establish and manage processes for tracking maintenance work hours.
  • Monitor parts consumption across all Vanilla sites, advising project managers and stakeholders on usage and assisting with reorders as necessary.
  • Work with project teams and stakeholders to comprehend configuration management needs for assigned projects.
  • Aid in inventory retention efforts during updates.
  • Implement approved modifications to inventory as needed.
  • Ensure consistent part numbering and serialization standards across the fleet.
  • Optimize processes and collaborate as required to enhance company efficiency.
  • Analyze data and workflows for optimization possibilities, presenting metrics to Directors and the Executive team.
  • Conduct audits of Vanilla site inventories to ensure database accuracy.
  • Enter production items into the Veryon database with precision.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS
  • High School Diploma/GED or higher
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
  • Ability to acquire a security clearance
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multitasking environment
  • Team player with good collaboration skills
  • Ability to focus on complex tasks for extended periods
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Effective decision-making skills
  • Positive attitude and eagerness for learning
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
  • 5 years of experience in aerospace/manufacturing inventory control
  • Proficiency in inventory management
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office
  • Prior experience with Veryon (formerly FlightDocs)
