    Senior Accountant, Corporate Accounting

    Description of Responsibilities:
    The responsibilities of this position primarily include:


    • Review daily banking activity and ensure transactions are properly coded, entered and reconciled in Oracle Cash Management module;
    • Perform monthly and quarterly trend analysis for various corporate entities
    • Oversee corporate accounts receivables process by reviewing the set-up of customer profiles, invoice creation, application of receipts and adjustments, and performing analysis of corporate finance and insurance related activity
    • Manage corporate fixed assets in Oracle and BNA
    • Perform research ensuring inquiries have been responded to correctly and in a timely manner
    • Ensure activity in third party systems (Counsellink Certify, etc.) are reviewed, coded and posted to the general ledger
    • Frequent communication with other corporate departments, Business Support Center and dealership personnel regarding various corporate related transactions
    • Review of various journal entries within the Company's general ledger (Oracle Fusion ERP)
    • Review of monthly account reconciliations and summary reports
    • Ensure compliance with established SOX controls
    • Support internal and external audits and reviews by ensuring timely completion of supporting schedules to the auditors
    • Perform quarterly legal reconciliation by managing legal confirmations and updating relevant support documents.
    • Responsible for the corporate Property & Casualty process
    • Participate in special and ad-hoc projects as needed

    Desired Qualifications:

    The candidate must be:

    • Team first oriented professional
    • Willing and able to work the necessary hours to accomplish their assigned tasks, especially during month and quarter end close processes.
    • Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work demands in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
    • Detail oriented, well organized and forward thinking
    • An effective communicator, including the use of both verbal and written forms of communication
    The ideal candidate should have, at a minimum:


    • Successfully retained a Bachelor's degree or Master's degree, with a major in accounting or finance, from a reputable business college
    • A firm understanding of accounting principles
    • Three to five years of relevant experience in accounting at a large, multi-location corporation and/or public accounting firm
    • Retained, or be eligible and desire to achieve, certification as a public accountant
    • A working knowledge of Oracle Fusion ERP
    • Advanced Excel experience: familiarity with SmartView or other Excel add-in tools for querying ERP and EPM data is a plus.
    • All applicants must pass pre-employment testing to include: background checks, MVR, and drug testing in order to qualify for employment
