    Paris Preschool Site Coordinator & Interventionist

    Reports To: Preschool Director

    Qualifications:
    • Kentucky certificate, license, or other legal credentials required.
    • Experience and other qualifications as specified by the Superintendent.
    Summary

    The Preschool Site Coordinator & Interventionist will work closely with the Preschool Director to implement aspects of enrollment, program monitoring, reporting, data collection, communication, etc. to ensure the continued success of Paris Preschool.

    General Responsibilities and Duties

    The responsibilities of the Program Coordinator will include but not be limited to the following:
    • Supervise the day-to-day operations of Paris Preschool.
    • Ensure that the implementation of all programs is consistent with federal and state regulations.
    • Support staff with implementing evidence-based practices.
    • Support staff in developing and implementing long-and short-range planning.
    • Assist preschool staff in the screening process of all preschool students.
    • Support and assist with TS GOLD and documentation of student progress as well as monitoring tracking procedures for early intervention services and referrals.
    • Lead the MTSS process and provide intervention services to preschool students based on screening results.
    • Support the Special Education process for students (ARC Chair, scheduling meetings, etc.).
    • Coordinate First Steps processes and referrals for Special Education.
    • Oversee all aspects of enrollment for Paris Preschool students and families.
    • Develop brochures and promotional/informational materials for recruitment and enrollment.
    • Ensure attendance is submitted daily, track monthly student attendance, and contact families about student attendance as needed.
    • Manage reporting requirements in Infinite Campus.
    • Complete and submit reports on time and as required.
    • Manage social media sites for Paris Preschool.
    • Plan and attend family engagement events with the Preschool Director and Staff.
    • Assist the Preschool Director with updating the Preschool Handbook and Calendar.
    • Assist the Preschool Director with the coordination of professional learning opportunities.
    • Assist as needed in classrooms.
    • Attend all assigned staff meetings and trainings.
    • Other duties as assigned.
    Requirements
    • Ability to apply knowledge of Kentucky State Preschool Program requirements and early child development toward administrative tasks and protocols.
    • Must exhibit emotional and professional maturity and stability.
    • Ability to work in a dynamic professional environment on a diverse team of administrative and teaching staff.
    • Must exercise good judgment to handle crises as they may arise.
    • Ability to interact and communicate with families.
    • Competent in using computers for data tracking, communication, etc.
    Knowledge required to perform the essential functions of the job:
    • Knowledge of child development theories and development stages and needs.
    • Knowledge of best practice teaching principles, techniques, and approaches.
    • Knowledge of current trends, theories, and technologies about learning, instruction, and classroom management.
    • Knowledge of assessment procedures and techniques.
    • Understanding of basic office equipment and software used by the district in maintaining records and files.
    • Knowledge of community resources, agencies, and school district programs.
    Physical Requirements
    • Must continuously stand or walk for long periods; regularly requires bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and moving items or materials occasionally of moderate weight up to 30 pounds.
    • Ability to receive and provide detailed information through oral and written communication.
    • Requires close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading and visual inspection.
    • Requires the ability to review, classify, categorize, prioritize, and/or analyze data. Includes exercising discretion in determining data classification.
    • Must have a valid driver's license and current insurance coverage.
