  • Job Purpose
  • Individual must be able to perform the essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Seek, negotiate, and obtain cost savings opportunities through the oversight of the company's corporate purchasing programs including (among others), electricity and other utilities, waste management and recycling services, forklifts, warehouse supplies, safety, and personal protective equipment (PPE), branded materials and clothing, office supplies, travel services and packing and shipping materials
  • Help direct the company to reduce its carbon footprint and environmental impact
  • Review the company's corporate purchasing programs to identify efficiencies and cost reduction opportunities
  • Oversee the management of the company's corporate fleet of over 900 trucks and vehicles, including interfacing with the company's internal fleet manager and external fleet management company to lease new vehicles, sell vehicles under expiring leases and maintaining vehicles
  • Help direct the company to reduce its carbon footprint and environmental impact

  • Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (such as Business, Finance, Economics, or related degree) or a bachelor's degree with prior related business experience.
  • Continuous process improvement (Lean/Six Sigma) experience a plus.
  • Additional Qualifications
  • Must have the ability to provide documentation verifying legal work status;
  • Ability to read and speak the English language proficiently in order to communicate with others; to understand and interpret safety instructions; and to respond to inquiries;
  • Ability to understand and comply with MRC Global guidelines & expectations, to include Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest guidelines.
