The Front Desk Attendant is a member of the Front Office team
They are responsible for:

maintaining and promoting hospitality at all times; welcoming and serving guests in a courteous, efficient and friendly manner, both face-to-face and on the phone.

As part of this job, this individual is required to:

demonstrate good computer skills; accurately handle cash and charges; stand for long periods of time; present a friendly, outgoing, energetic and guest service oriented demeanor.


  • Check in and checkout guests in a professional efficient manner, communicating services and amenities of the resort
  • Issues room key
  • Anticipate guest needs and react in a quick and proficient manner
  • Keeps the Front Desk and coffee station clean and sanitary at all times
  • Makes welcome packets
  • Update Guest Request Log with room or guest issues
  • Post charges and transactions to folios accurately
  • Attends meetings as necessary
  • Adheres to all safety and company policies. Informs management of any unsafe working environments
  • Accepts responsibility for accurately maintaining a cash bank
  • Provides and ensures highquality guest relations. Receives and resolves guest complaints in a manner consistent with company policy. Makes Hotel Manager aware of any guest complaints
  • Rent equipment
  • Anticipate guest needs and react in a quick and proficient manner
  • Answer phones and direct calls in a courteous and efficient manner
  • Communicate important information clearly with other departments
  • Completing regular duties assigned as stated on daily checklist
  • Manages boat dock and mooring rentals
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:


  • High School Diploma or Equivalent GED
  • Two year customer service experience
  • Must be able to type 30 WPM
  • Must be fluent in English
  • Flexible schedule
  • Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, followthrough, courtesy, cooperativeness and work with a minimum of supervision
