With a new Supply Chain Management (SCM) organization in place, Fugro is on an exciting journey to accelerate growth and value creation.

The Sourcing & Contract Manager function has a key role to play in this context by delivering the most competitive cost base by helping to build a strong Supply Chain in the US.

The Sourcing Specialist will be part of the Strategic Sourcing and contract management team and initially will oversee the purchases of a part of the business.


The Sourcing Specialist will be responsible for engaging with key stakeholders in the business and driving costs down with engagement with the supply base and sourcing activities.

The role is not just limited to Fugro Houston office but all Fugro Entities in the US and may involve some global activities.

Critical to the success of this role is bringing a professional look and creating value for Fugro by implementing best-in-class Sourcing and Contract activities to help Fugro reduce bottom-line costs and improve cash flow and top-line profit.


Job Responsibilities- Lead by example and place Quality, Health & Safety, Security, and the protection of the Environment as core values while never intentionally placing employees, our processes, customers, or the communities in which we live and work at risk.- Responsible for driving costs down while ensuring quality and on-time delivery.- Analyses financial data on company expenditure and provides reports on areas for improvements- Third-party Strategic Sourcing and Contract Management- Actively engage with the business and develop key relationships with business stakeholders and strategic supply partners to assess supply chain risk, review future strategies, and identify potential cost reduction and valuable opportunities for Fugro.- End to End Supply Chain cost reductions (TCO).- Work with the global and other country supply chain teams on developing best practices to share.- Actively reinforce general and legal compliance and requirements regarding quality, health, safety, sustainability, and environment ("QHSSE").- Establish regularly the value created with the supply chain team and business stakeholders.

Track, optimize, communicate, and share value created by SCM.- Ability to negotiate Contracts and framework agreements.- Assist where needed in developing best-in-class processes and procedures.- Communicate clearly in the business the sourcing strategy.- Communicate all agreed pricing to the Purchasing area and ensure the sourcing strategy is followed.- Be a strategic partner to the business and one face to the supplier.- Supplier Management and pre-qualifications.- Conduct RFQ's.- Supplier visits as needed which may include auditing a third-party.- Provide all Globally driven KPI reporting to the UK & Norway Supply Chan Manager on the given dates.- Work with and take direction from the Global Sourcing & Contract Manager in developing a sourcing strategy whether in the Country or on a Global basis.


Job Requirements- Legally authorized to work in the United States, without restrictions.- Bachelor's degree in any the following Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics Engineering, Business Administration or Management, Economics, Law or similar is desirable.

High school diploma required.- Ideally have relevant or working towards a professional qualification (e.g. MCIPS, NEVI)- Minimum five years of Strategic Sourcing & Contract Management and/or Procurement management experience with a minimum of three years as a manager with direct line reports.- Strong communication skills with the proven ability to influence, negotiate and challenge but also to nurture strong collaborative relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, at all levels, along with energetically motivating and empowering teams.- Successful proven experience in setting up, developing, managing and innovating a supply chain or procurement management function in an international environment.- QHSSE, legal and compliance knowledge allowing for ability to identify and mitigate concerning risks for Fugro.- A leadership style that is actively focused on achieving sustainable results with a passion for success.
