This is a full-time, direct-hire position with a salary dependent on experience plus awesome benefits. If youre not interested, please pass along to your colleagues as we do pay referral fees.

    Location: Chicago

    Salary: dependent on experience

    100% onsite: YES for the first 6 months and then potentially 1 or 2 days WFH per week

    Degree required: NO

    Candidates must be well versed in all facets of Litigation

    • Legal Secretary/Administrative Assistant with 5+ years of experience for our Chicago location. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and have experience in all facets of litigation.
    • Tasks include: opening new matters, e-filings (State & Federal level), flipping discovery, editing documents, saving and organizing documents in iManage, making sure documents go to Docket, arranging attorney travel, entering attorney time, working with Accounting on pre-bills & expenses.
    • The ability to prioritize, multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment are essential for this position. Excellent communication skills along with attention to detail are required.
    • Candidates will need to be well versed in ALL aspects of the litigation process.
    • This is a VERY heavy and complex desk. Extremely voluminous and lots of moving parts.
    • Attention to detail and proofreading are a must
    • This desk is a team of 3 lawyers, one Partner and two Counsel.
    • LOTS of pulling and tracking documents
    • LOTS of billing that comes across the desk.
