Responsibilities
- Ensure BrandSafway's safety culture and Life Saving Rules are a part of every estimate and contract
- Review drawings, specifications, and other contract documents to identify scope of work and other project specific constraints.
- Perform takeoffs to determine quantities needed for developing estimates.
- Effectively communicate any problems or changes with all field personnel, estimating staff, and management.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain pricing and other applicable information necessary to develop estimates.
- Develop detailed proposals to effectively identify scope, specifications, qualifications, and other details associated with pricing submissions.
- Perform site walks and analyze drawings/specifications to develop detailed estimates.
- Develop detailed technical proposals outlining work to be performed, pricing, and any potential qualifications/exclusion.
- Generate job packages and coordinate w/ field personnel to communicate details of scope, schedule, budget, and other related info.
- Procurement of equipment and materials needed for work.
- Monitor project schedule, quality assurance, and budget.
Qualifications
- 2+ years in construction related industry preferred
- Previous estimating and/or project management experience preferred
- Degree and/or certifications in construction management or related disciplines a plus
- Reliable transportation and clean driving record
- Ability to pass background check and preemployment drug screening
- Willingness to assist in providing field direction when called upon by management.
- Proficient in software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Proficient in PDF editing software.
- Ability to multitask and stay organized while dealing with numerous bid packages and ongoing projects simultaneously.
- Attention to detail.
- Provide excellent client service.
