Come work with us at a unique urban oasis hotel in Culver City, the creative hub of central Los Angeles.
Essential Job Function:
Familiarity with a wide variety of menus, drink recipes, wine and spirits knowledge, and is capable of delivering quality customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Serve up to five tables, as determined by management, in a friendly/fast manner
- Have complete knowledge of restaurant's food and beverage preparation
- Ability to sell alcohol and food items
- Able to use a computer to ring orders on a check
- Able to accept different types of payment and make change
- Maintain specific sidework and ensure the total cleanliness and smooth operation of the restaurant
- Ability to clear and reset tables, and run food from the kitchen
- Check identification of guests to ensure guests are of legal age to consume alcoholic beverages; refuse to serve beverages in a polite manner to guests who are not of legal age; observe guest's behavior, count number of drinks served, and if the server feels they should not drive, offer a taxi. Do not hesitate to ask a manager to intervene
- Report to work in a neat and clean uniform; wellgroomed hair and personal hygiene are essential
Experience:
- High school diploma
- 2+ years' experience working as a server
- Knowledge of Wine, Spirits and food
- Strong customer service and interpersonal communications skills required
- High level of reliability
- Must have open availability
- Must be able to stand for an 8hour shift

$16.00 per hour
