Description
As a Pathologists' Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting surgical pathology procedures.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

Performing dissection, description, and histologic sampling of various surgical specimens.
Conducting specimen photography and radiography to assist in diagnostics.
Performing frozen sections and providing intraoperative consultations for timely diagnosis.
Procuring tissue for tumor banking and research studies.
Identifying, investigating, and resolving issues related to surgical pathology processes.
Assisting in specimen accessioning and labeling to maintain accurate records.
Providing guidance and training to residents, fellows, new employees, and Pathologists' Assistant students in surgical pathology protocols and procedures.

Note:
Position is based at the Santa Monica Hospital, but incumbent will provide coverage to our lab in Westwood as needed

Salary Range:
$86, $197,300.00/annual

Qualifications:

PA (ASCP) certified or must pass PA (ASCP) exam within 12 months of hire.
Bachelor's degree.
Must be able to work the occasional Saturday.
Flexibility to work between Santa Monica and Westwood location. 2 or more years of relevant work experience, preferred
