    Established in December 2021, Osito is Chef Stowaway's first restaurant, awarded its inaugural Michelin star in 2022.

    It stands as San Francisco's exclusive live fire, upscale dining destination, situated in the heart of the Mission District.

    Beyond a mere eatery, Osito represents a community of creators, farmers, and advocates who have materialized the Osito vision amidst a global crisis, aiming to craft an extraordinary and memorable yet approachable experience.

    An intimate setting, Osito serves as a place where acquaintances transform into friends, offering a daily menu curated from the finest ingredients available.

    The drink selection features a rich assortment of wines emphasizing natural and biodynamic practices, alongside meticulously chosen sakes, ciders, and beers.

    The cuisine draws inspiration from shared memories and nostalgic instances from Seth's upbringing in south Texas and his culinary journey along the California shoreline.




    Job Description
    Osito is in search of a committed Captain with a career-oriented mindset and a genuine passion for hospitality.

    If you possess a thirst for knowledge, demonstrate keen anticipation and attentiveness, and champion a team-centric approach, you might be an ideal addition to our service team.

    We expect you to radiate a welcoming and poised aura that instills comfort in those around you.

    Captains must exhibit exceptional attention to detail, efficiency, and receptiveness to learning and input.


    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Deliver top-tier service and hospitality while upholding the essence of Osito's ethos
    • Elevate service standards by paying meticulous attention to detail
    • Collaborate closely with the kitchen staff to gain a comprehensive grasp of our menu
    • Partner with the Wine Director to acquire a deep understanding of the wine and beverage offerings
    • Foster engaging conversations with guests to cultivate trust and navigate them through the Osito dining journey
    • Stay abreast of daily updates to the wine selection
    • Conduct seamless tableside presentations and exhibit proficiency in various service styles
    • Possess thorough knowledge of the Osito Food Menu, Cocktail menu, Wine Pairings, and Wine By the Glass selections
    • Efficiently manage table maintenance, setting, clearing, food running, course explanations, wine pairings, wine service, table resets, and water service
    • Provide comprehensive beverage service encompassing coffee, tea, and non-alcoholic drinks
    • Demonstrate proficiency in all service aspects and uphold a role-model status for other team members
    • Maintain a gracious and professional demeanor while on duty

    Qualifications

    • Proficiency in hospitality and nuanced service techniques (open-hand service, synchronization, etc.)
    • Preferably two years of experience in a similar upscale dining environment
    • Exhibit a warm and courteous disposition
    • Thorough understanding of Food, Wine, and Spirits
    • Hold a Food Handler's Safety Permit, ABC RBS training certification
    • Authorized to work in the US
    • Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally
