Description

We, the PLCnext Technology Team, are driving forward the highly innovative PLCnext automation system in various aspects in Greenville. One of these aspects is the digital twin, one of the most important topics of our time. And here we offer you the opportunity to actively shape the future as part of a master's thesis.

Tasks:

  • First, you will familiarize yourself with the topics/technologies (IDTA)AAS and PLCnext
  • You will also be responsible for researching scientific papers and the market situation regarding integrated AAS clients in PLC engineering tools
  • You will be responsible for developing, revising, and compiling use cases and user stories
  • You will create a detailed concept for an integrated AAS client in the PLCnext engineering tool
  • In addition, you will develop and test an integrated AAS client and then create corresponding documentation
  • You will also provide recommendations for the further development of the AAS client and the implementation of additional IDTA submodels

The master's thesis will have a large practical component, but this will be complemented by a theoretical, scientific part.

Requirements:

  • You are an enrolled master's student in the fields of electrical engineering, mechatronics, computer science, or a related field and are eligible to write a master's thesis according to the study
