Forensic Science
St. Edward's University, a nationally ranked, independent Catholic university and Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI), invites applications for one or more full-time, 9-month faculty positions in forensic science, beginning August 2024. Rank and tenure eligibility will be determined based on candidate qualifications. Initial appointment will be at the rank of assistant professor (tenure-track) or assistant teaching professor (specialized faculty). At St. Edward's University, specialized faculty are not tenure eligible but receive renewable contracts and have opportunities for promotion-in this case, to associate/full teaching professor. For consideration, candidates must have a Master's degree from an accredited institution in forensic science or a related field. A Ph.D. is preferred and will be required to attain tenure. In addition, candidates must demonstrate potential for excellence in teaching at the collegiate level, including an ability or potential to teach a range of undergraduate courses and support a diverse student body. Candidates must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and an educational philosophy consistent with the mission and vision of a liberal arts university.
