Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:
Masters Degree: Ohio licensed (LCDC
LCSW or Ph.
D) 3 years; 5 years supervisory experience working with third party billing in a PHP, IOP or hospital setting; 3 years experience working with patients diagnosed with a substance use disorder and/or co-occurring disorders.

Weekly


Supervises:
Therapists, Interns, Case Manager and receptionist.

Basic Function:
Primary responsibility for the delivery of direct services, clinical operations and adherence to licensure regulations and accreditation standards.


Job Duties and Responsibilities:

CLINICAL DUTIES:

  • Develops and maintains written objectives, policies and procedures, an organizational plan and a quality assurance program, reviewed by the
Executive Director/Regional Director, for substance abuse counseling services.

  • Ensures that the behavior and pharmacologic approaches to treatment are evidence based or based on objective information to provide treatment services consistent with recognized treatment principles and practices for each level of care and type of client served by the program
  • Provides or ensures and documents, that direct clinical supervision is provided at least one hour per week to all clinical staff, individually or in a group setting, with group supervision not to exceed 50 percent of supervision time.
  • Ensures that substance abuse counseling services are provided as specified in the client treatment plan and coordinated with other client care services, if applicable, in order to provide continuity of care.
  • Ensures that the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of clients with co
- occurring disorders is provided by appropriately trained and qualified clinical staff and that clinical supervision of such staff is provided

  • Assist in developing and maintaining written job descriptions for substance abuse counseling personnel and assigning duties
  • Assess and participate in staff education activities and provide consultation to program personnel
  • Provide orientation to and evaluation of new counseling staff prior to the assignment of counseling responsibilities
  • Ensure that all counseling staff are properly licensed or credentialed according to regulations
  • Participates in the identification of quality care indicators and outcome objectives and the collection and review of data to monitor staff and program performance.
  • Participates in planning and budgeting for the provision of substance abuse counseling services
  • Ensures that clinical staff are being supervised by the appropriately credentialed staff
  • Oversee clinical admissions, i.e., entry into NJSAMS system HER.
  • Intervenes and assists as needed, clinically with clients (crisis, crisis intervention, ATA risk, special needs, etc.)
  • Oncall 24hours for clinical emergencies and consultation
  • Responsible for overseeing the timely completion of the Bio-Psychosocial
Assessments, Clinical Admission notes, utilization reviews and Master
Treatment Plans for all new admissions.

  • Ensures clinicians are preparing integrated treatment plans for all patients.
  • Ensures patients are evaluated by psychiatric staff in a timely manner.
  • Ensures family counseling services are provided to patients where applicable.
  • Coordinates information for utilization reviews and ongoing care with Care
Coordinator. (IF YOU HAVE A CARE COORDINATOR))

  • Conducts weekly supervision sessions with therapists and interns.
  • Implements and monitors evidenced based treatment services.

ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES:


  • Clinical and administrative (referral sources progress letters, letters of completion and all charting, etc.) supervision of counseling staff and
Behavior Technicians.

  • Facilitates weekly treatment planning meeting
  • Facilitates weekly group clinical multidisciplinary meeting with counselors and Psychiatric staff.
  • Conducts quarterly qualitative reviews of treatment documentation and planning
  • Reviews staff communication and shift logs for treatment implications
  • Coordinates with Executive Director/Regional Director to meet State licensing standards
  • Implements quality assurance and performance improvement activities.
  • Responsible for staff development for other key personnel including but not limited to cohesiveness, problem solving and hiring/firing.
  • Coordinates patient care policy and procedure development and funnels updates to Executive Director/Regional
Director.

  • Consults routinely with the nurse, Medical Director and Executive
Director/Regional Director on an as needed basis.

  • Develops coordinates and maintains clinical program policies and procedures, designing and developing and modifying, as necessary, overall program parameters.
