    JOB OPPORTUNITY:

    The Penn State College of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry Research, located in Hershey, PA, is searching for a part-time Human Research Technologist.

    JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:


    The role entails specialized ultrasound procedures for an NIH-funded study, maintaining participant database, data collection, resolving technical issues with equipment, protocol integrity, and ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.

    The ideal candidate is well-trained, detail-oriented, efficient, knowledgeable about imaging protocols, and adept at participant communication while upholding privacy standards.

    Extensive experience in ultrasound techniques for measuring flow-mediated dilation (FMD), carotid intima-media thickness (CIMT), and coronary blood flow velocity (CBV) is vital.

    The candidate must interpret and analyze scans to translate them into numerical metrics for statistical evaluation.

    Collaboration with project coordinators, statisticians, clinical investigators, and data management personnel for sleep data management tasks is essential for research projects.

    Work hours are from 4-6pm, as per the sleep study schedule, and may include weekends.
