Job Summary:

Duties:


  • Assist healthcare professionals with patient examinations and procedures
  • Administer medications as directed by physicians
  • Perform basic medical procedures such as taking vital signs, collecting specimens, and performing EKGs
  • Provide medical administrative support including scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and handling insurance claims
  • Prepare examination rooms with necessary supplies and equipment
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of medical equipment and supplies
  • Assist with patient education by providing information on medications, procedures, and general health maintenance
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure efficient patient flow and continuity of care

Requirements:


  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
  • Proficiency in medication administration techniques
  • Experience with Xray procedures is desirable
  • Familiarity with coding and insurance billing processes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fastpaced environment
  • Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards patients

Schedule:

  • 5x 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

Work setting:

Experience:

Medical Assistant: 1 year (preferred)
- outpatient clinic or medical office setting: 1 year (preferred)


License/Certification:

  • Medical Assistant Certificate (preferred)
