The German Sport University Cologne, as a state university in North Rhine-Westphalia, is unique in its research spectrum and has around 6,000 students in Germany.

It is also one of the most prestigious universities in its field internationally. The central IT unit (ze.
IT) operates the IT infrastructure of the university.

We are currently looking to fill 2 positions in ze.

IT as a System Architect, Network Architect, or IT Security Specialist (m/f/d) in full-time with a regular weekly working time of 39 hours and 50 minutes.

One position is permanent, the other is initially limited until [date].

System Architect, Network Architect, or IT Security Specialist (m/f/d)

Your main responsibilities include:

Contributing to the continuous development of the system landscape with a focus on IT security.
Being responsible for the technical implementation of IT security measures in various areas of IT operations, and also carrying them out yourself.
Ensuring timely remediation of IT security vulnerabilities.
Ensuring that IT systems and applications are configured according to "best practice" security standards.
Collaborating closely with the information security department and the information security officer.
Working intensively on the BSI certification process.
