Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman's Missions System Sector is looking for a Manager, Programs Level 2, to manage a Production program within the Triton in the Secure Processing and Networks Solutions Business Unit.
This position reports directly to the Triton Ground Segment IPT Director, and is located in San Diego, CA.The primary objectives of the Program Manager are:
- The delivery of all technical and contractual requirements on schedule and under cost
- Creating value through customer intimacy and development and execution of growth strategies
- To lead a crossfunctional organization aligned to Division and Business Unit goals
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Establish and lead an organization that effectively addresses customer needs and incorporates internal and external partners
- Oversite of program budget baselines utilizing Earned Value Management (EVM) or similar cost & schedule control methodologies and tools
- Ensure program team understands and adheres to contract scope, and manages change through disciplined process
- Conduct thorough risk & opportunity oversight including identification and mitigation
- Cultivate customer relationships to support program execution and to develop further growth opportunities
- Develop and execute long term strategic plans, capture planning, and development of proposals to drive department awards and sales growth
- Participating in the negotiation of contracts, contract changes, specifications, operating budgets, schedule milestones, and key terms and conditions.
- Delivering presentations to customers, executive management, and other stakeholders
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree and 10 years, or Master's and 8 years experience supporting U.S. Government contracts and customers and/or program management in other industries. Will consider 14 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
- 3 years of experience leading the performance of contracts greater than $25M annually and proven performance achieving cost, schedule, and technical requirements
- 5 years working in the Program Management Communications/Aerospace market
- Experience with Low Rate Initial Production (LRIP)
- Experience with lean production practices and philosophies
- Strong personal verbal and written communications skills
- A final DoD Secret Clearance is required to start
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience managing hardware/software production and sustainment programs
- Experience managing international contracts, both Direct Commercial Sales and Foreign Military Sales contracts
- The ability to recognize and respond to customer needs in order to develop additional sales that support organizational objectives.
- Experience with a terrestrial radio station designed for extraplanetary telecommunication with an air vehicle
- Capture Management experience that shapes customers' expectations
- Proposal Management with the ability to oversee and facilitate the proposal process
- Ability to identify, select and manage subcontract and supply chain elements of program management.
- Security Clearance: DoD Top Secret Clearance and ability to obtain/maintain special program accesses
Salary Range:
$151,900 - $227,900
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
