Description

A financial firm is looking for a Chief Information Security Officer to join their team in NYC.

Compensation: $200-250k

Responsibilities:

Establish and oversee a comprehensive Enterprise Information Security Program
Create and implement a critical response plan for Cyber Security incidents
Supervise and train Information Security personnel
Continuously monitor threats to the firm's operational environment
Authorize and manage identity access policies
Ensure compliance with relevant Information Security laws and regulations
Lead and evaluate the results of regular security assessments, including internal and external penetration tests and phishing exercises
Organize and conduct table-top exercises for the Crisis Team and senior management; report outcomes and implement recommended actions
Review and endorse Information Security policies, procedures, and controls
Ensure compliance with the firm's security policies and procedures by staff and vendors
Update the Executive Team on security status, risks, strategies, and budget needs
Conduct risk assessments to identify the firm's cybersecurity vulnerabilities and define the bank's risk tolerance for Information Security
Develop Key Risk Indicators and create dashboard metrics for reporting to the Management Team and the Board of Directors

Qualifications:

A Master's degree or equivalent experience
10+ years of experience, at least 5 years focused on managing information security in a complex, matrixed environment
Extensive experience in regulated industries, especially financial services; banking experience is preferred
Able to create and maintain enterprise-level information security programs
Knowledge of Data Privacy Laws
Knowledge of information security engineering concepts and principles
Experience with DFS 500 and similar regulations
Experience working with external regulators, including NY DFS and FDIC
Experience presenting to senior levels, including Board of Directors
CISSP, CISA or CISM designations preferred
