    Description

    Security Officer Position at the Intrepid Museum

    The Intrepid Museum is looking for Security Officers to join our team and safeguard the Museum property from fire, theft, vandalism, and illegal entry. Your responsibilities will include:

    • Monitoring visitors for identification and wristbands.
    • Patrolling buildings, grounds, and ship.
    • Checking doors, windows, and gates for security.
    • Enforcing rules and apprehending violators.
    • Inspecting equipment and reporting irregularities.
    • Preventing theft and maintaining property security.
    • Responding to emergencies and assisting with evacuations.
    • Ensuring orderly traffic flow at the Museum entrance.
    • Recording inspections and incidents.
    • Performing other duties as assigned.

    Requirements:

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Minimum one year of relevant experience.
    • New York State security license.
    • Ability to work flexible hours.
    • FO 03 certification within 90 days.
