- Responsible for working with highly functional development team automating service deployments; optimizing system performance; integrating with enterprise authentication services; establishing/improving system monitoring; maintaining established security protocols; provide customers technical support.
- The Cloud Engineer will be integrated with an agile environment participating with scrums and other meetings.
- Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Build and Maintain Platform as a Service Offering using RedHat OpenShift
- Work with A&A Team to maintain security requirements for operation of systems
- Maintain and improve existing infrastructure (build out autoscaling, support new services, optimize for cost efficiencies/authentication/search, etc)
- Produce detailed documentation
- Maintain System in AWS environment using EC2, S3, ELB, and RDS
- Maintain System in a VMware vSphere environment, using NSX, and NetApp StorageGRID
- Automate and optimize service deployments
- Education/Experience:
- Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Programming, Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience 5+ years IT experience 5+ years experience with Platform as a Service Offerings (e.g. RedHat OpenShift, Tanzu, etc)
- Prior experience building and maintaining Platform as a Service offerings via Cloud based providers
- Strong understanding of RHEL/CentOS Linux distributions
- Strong understanding of RedHat OpenShift and/or other Kubernetes distributions
