We are seeking a professional and experienced Back Office Receptionist to join our team and contribute to our continued success.
Position Summary:
Key Responsibilities:
1.
Patient Coordination and Scheduling:
- Greet patients warmly upon arrival and assist with checkin and checkout processes.
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments efficiently using Open Dental software.
- Manage the appointment book to optimize the dentist's schedule and reduce patient wait times.
- Coordinate patient referrals and followups as necessary.
2.
Administrative Support:
- Maintain patient records and ensure they are updated accurately and confidentially.
- Process insurance verifications and preauthorizations.
- Assist with billing, coding, and processing payments.
- Order and maintain inventory of office supplies and dental materials.
3.
Customer Service:
- Provide excellent customer service to all patients, addressing their concerns and inquiries with professionalism and empathy.
- Communicate effectively with patients about treatment plans, financial options, and office policies.
- Manage patient complaints and feedback to improve service quality.
4.
Office Management:
- Ensure the reception area and back office are clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
- Coordinate with dental assistants, hygienists, and dentists to ensure seamless patient flow.
- Assist with marketing initiatives and patient outreach programs as needed.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Dental Office Receptionist.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (fluency in both languages required).
- Proficiency in using Open Dental software is a strong plus.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fastpaced environment.
- Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and insurance processing.
