Lifeguard

Leisure Services Department

Part-time - Non-Exempt

Starting Pay:
$14.00/hr


Under the direct supervision of the assigned Recreation staff member, assists with the organization and direction of various water activities.

Performs rescues of bathers in trouble and supply C.P.R. and emergency first aid if required until assistance arrives


This position requires a minimum of a High School Diploma or GED or currently enrolled in high school or college and at least 16 years of age.

Must have strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to develop positive interest in activities.
Lifesaving Certification, First Aid, CPR and AED training required and previous experience is required. Water Safety Instructor s Certificate desirable. Must complete the required National Incident Management System (NIMS) training within 6 months of completion of probationary period. A valid Florida Driver's License is required.
